Doubt about POT-HG

Hello,

I have a doubt with POT-HG simulation.
Sorry if it's too simple, but I'm trying to understand the circuit.

Why the circuit in the middle does not have the same behavior of the circuit with the 500R resistor?
I mean, if we have a 1k potentiometer with 50%, the resistance would not be 0.5k (500R)?
Why RV2 is with a drop of 3V instead of 1.67V (like R2)?

The middle and last circuits are not the same at all. They become the same only when you disconnect the ground from the pot of the middle circuit.
