I was trying a schematic having a PIC16F876A. I was trying to simulate some codes. Nothing worked but it worked on my physical board. I couldn't even toggle a LED. The virtual chip was dead. The MCLR was high. I deleted the chip on the schematic and also on the component list, got a "fresh" Pic then just re-wired it an bingo it was working again. How is it possible?

Hi Yves,
We have no idea without seeing the project... if you still have the broken version saved can you send it in, thanks.
Regards,
Dave.

Re: something strange on the PIC16F876A
Just as a note that we have fixed right now a potential crash or miss functioning for several PIC12s and PIC16s variants due to some internal variables erroneously initialized. I don't know if that's the case; as Dave said, saying "It does not work" without any project file is simply useless.
