Watch window var not persistant

VSM using 2 Pic devices
Pic 1 18f27Q10
Pic 2 18F13k22

If I add a var to the watch window from the Pic2 (18f13k22) using right click add to watch window they persist following a restart
If I do the same with a variable from Pic 1 (18f27Q10) they are not persistent and disappear
