Making Q1 hot!: IMPORTANT

Post by diffequ »

Greetings everyone,

Is there a way to use OV1 to externally increase the surrounding temperature in a transistor or complex circuit?
(Please see attached diagram.)

Thank you.

No. The temperature output of the oven active component may only drive the thermocouple and pt100 simulation models. Transistors cannot, as they are SPICE standard models and there are no ways to change the TEMP internal variable in real time. In order to change the local temperature in a transistor you have to add the property TEMP=xxx (where xxx is the temperature value in Celsius degree) in its property list : right click=>Edit properties and add TEMP to 'Other Properties' text field.
Kind regards,
