help anyone?

Post by zarcov »

while simulating a OP-AMP triangle wave circuit, I got no wave at all at the osciloscope, although the real circuitry is working fine.

I think you are a little vague. What about if we can get your schematic attached here ?

triangle wav generator simulation

Post by zarcov »

This is the circuit (albeit simple), which, when assembled with the components shown, receives a flat wave form from the scope.
Thanks for the help.

This is the triangle wave gnerator. It´s just a Schmitt-Trigger / Integrator medley

This the solution (albeit simple).
Label one of the two C1 nets (which one is unimportant) with IC=0. If you know Spice then you should know why...

Hardcore simulators only use graphs - virtual 'scopes are for wimps :D

On topic - last week our second-year analogue class had to design a Wien bridge oscillator. We get them to simulate their designs in ISIS before they get to the electronics laboratory. You'd be amazed how many connect the VSM signal generator to one of the op-amp inputs, or worse, the output

This is a sneak preview of the new one...

It is a full DSO model, so rather more up to date. To be fair, the existing scope model was very much aimed at the educational sector.
