Adding a new trace to a graph without re-simulating

Post by RobinF »

Hi, coming from LTSpice it was possible to simulate once and then add traces for nodes without re-simulating. Is this possible in proteus? If not i think it would be valuable given that some circuits can take minutes to simulate, additionally being able perform an fft on a trace without resimulating would be very useful and would allow for ffts on non-transient graphs.

That is a good idea and something similar is under consideration for Proteus 9.

Great to hear, the graph analysis is functional but could definitely do with an upgrade. Just an idea not sure how hard it would be to implement but given that graphs are already placeable on the schematic what if they could be connected to circuits? Similar to tapes they could act as breakpoints that also show the waveform at the break and/or allow for easy analysis of the waveform by connecting graphs to each other through circuitry and function blocks to define what should be done to the waveform.
