Importing parts from other software

Post by jimparisi »

I want to import parts using this site. But have been unsuccessful with a couple I have tried.
In all the years of owning Proteus, today was the first time trying to import a part and I have to say, I was SHOCKED that it's so basic as to not have all the major players out there able to import them. I preferer KiCad as that's been the most popular (if possible).

Can someone tell me if Proteus can import from any of the offerings here?

Hi,

Use Mentor > PADS 2009 and import the .P file that it gives you.

Dave.

Hi Jim,

What is it you are trying to import? We support Step (AP203 & AP214) files...

Regards,
Dave.

Please look at your PM and see if the assembly I sent - which I've made sometime ago - can help you in the immediate.
Kind regards,
