V8.16 Can't Route to Old Database Tracks

Post by CStocks »

I've loaded a database that was created prior to V8.18SP2 to do some edits. There are lots of tracks that were routed so that they're pushed as close together as DRC allowed (0.19mm). Here's an example :

TightTracks.png
TightTracks.png (124.35 KiB) Viewed 707 times

I can now not route to any of them: I get the message "Track start would violate DRC!" when I try to start routing at any point where the tracks are close together.

But they're all legal traces and none of them violate the DRC rules.

Pretty much everywhere on the board there are tracks this tightly spaced that I can no longer edit.

What's the fix? I can reduce the DRC spacing down to 0.189mm, but that seems a bit rubbish.

Hi,

Please can you send the project to support@labcenter.com so we can take a look? Thanks. It could be that you are trying to route using a thicker track than what was placed before?

Regards,
Dave.

Hi Dave,

I'm routing T8 tracks with T8, so that's not the issue.

Database sent through to the support email.

Thanks,

Colin
