Same circuit different condition

Post by dibor »

Looks lite is very important where to place digital resistor.
Please look pictures.

Double click on the LED and check if the Model Type is to Digital. In such the case set it to Analog.

Hello Ettore.
LED model type was digital, switching to analog model type does nothing, see picture.
Simulation of circuit works right only when RES type model is analog and doesn't matter what model type on the LED.

This makes sense. Digital resitor wont comply with Ohm's law, so the only use of them I can see of is when you need pull-up or pull-down resistors for digital nodes only. For other uses - as for example current limiting in a LED - the Analog resistor (default model) has to be used.

Some times after stopping simulation LED still be ON.
If LED was ON while simulation and simulation is stopped LED will be ON without running simulation also after opening project again.
Impossible to do anything for turning it OFF after stopping simulation.
Only to remove it and insert new one.

I couldn't reproduce the problem. You did not tell what Proteus version you are running, but, if memory still helps, it may sporadically occur if the simulation has stopped with a simulation error.

At any rate, if this happens to you then edit the LED, enable "Edit all properties as text" option and finally check if you have in the properties list a property that looks like : {STATE=x} where x is any number.

Delete the whole {STATE=x} property (including braces).
This should avoid that you have to remove and re-attach a new LED. This method works with any active indicator component like for example digital displays.

Hello Ettore.
Here is latest version.
I am also do not know when this is happen but in few days I saw this situation twice.
Thank U for the tip and I will remove state from the properties next time.
