I'm trying to make a package for an Allegro ACS758xCB current sensor (RS part number 724-8748)
This is a through-hole component with 2 big pins that are high current.
Two of the component legs require rectangular through-hole pads, stitched through with vias
I have no idea how to achieve this - I have seen one proteus video where a surface pad is stitched through with vias but when I follow the exact steps, I get DRC errors for each via placed.
Any ideas?

Re: Via in pad for power componnt
Hi,
Here is a very quick example of what you are after. Basically you need a Slotted Pad Stack with through hole pads surrounding it. All pads will need to have the same number, and the DRC errors will disappear once the package is made. Regards,
Dave.

Thanks - I assumed that the DRC errors were fatal. I will now try again.
