FAN-DC motor takes forever to reach maximum rmp

Post by snoopdawgmf »

I want to simulate a simple fan that's dependent on values from a temperature sensor LM35. The control signals come from arduino uno through pwm pin 9. I'm using the FAN-DC motor device which is available in proteus. The motor seems to respond fine to the signal, but its rmp value doesn't increase/decrease as fast as it normally would in real life. It's especially noticeable when I turn it off and it would still be seen rotating. What can I do to make its reaction more identical to say, a cpu cooling fan?
Help would be appreciated!

I suggest to use the MOTOR-DC rather than FAN-DC and change the properties to the following values:

Coil resistance = 24
Load/Max Torque% = 5
Effective Mass 1e.6

The same values used for FAN-DC makes rotation a little jerky.
This will be fixed in the commutator chopping breaker model incorporated in the FAN-DC motor.
