Importing DXF Files

Post by Iain »

One of the main things we want to bring in at V8.11 is a direct import DXF -> Copper mechanism. This would translate any incoming line data into tracking and an incoming solid object into a zone.

The main goal is to better support antenna design although it may well have other, more general uses. To get this right it's quite important to see as many real world example DXF files as possible. So, if you've ever imported to a mech layer and then traced over then please e-mail us in your DXF file(s).

You can send them straight to support @ labcenter.com

Thanks for the help!
Iain.

Iain,
I recently did a project where I used an led on a PCB to backlight a face plate on an audio design. It worked great!
