MIC5205-3.3YM5 model not working

Post by rintronic »

Gentlemen,

We are trying to use the MCI5205-3.3YM5 regulator and all the time receive the following error, even using the same specs from the manufacturer, so I would like to know if anyone can show us how to correct this error.
I have attached the project.
Thanks.

ISIS Release 8.12.01 (Build 30955) (C) Labcenter Electronics 1990- 2021.
Compiling design 'C:\Users\ranita\Downloads\USB\Guillermo\Regulator\P7_Lineal_Regulator_5.pdsprj'.
Netlist compilation completed OK.
Netlist linking completed OK.
Partition analysis completed OK.

PROSPICE 8.08.00 (Build 30916) (C) Labcenter Electronics 1993-2021.

Who's made this schematic has totally screwed up the SPICE settings, that's the reason!
So, go through the System menu and select Set Animation Option and finally press SPICE Options button.
In the Tolerances tab select "Default Settings" from the bottom list and press "Load" button.
Finally restore the default settings of both Iteration and Transient tabs as per the following pictures:

In particular, within the Transient tab there was the "Minimum Analogue Timestep" setting to 0.001.
This was simply crazy, as with this value no any circuit will ever simulate.
Kind regards,
Ettore Arena - Labcenter Electronics.
