Re: How to get a working CD4046 simulation?
Hi Remy, Thanks for the reply. I have downloaded your examples and plan on trying them out today. I'm curious if you or anyone else has better / more information regarding how to choose the C1 and R1 values for a CD4046. The only info I can find is older data sheets with small graphs on them for cho...

How to get a working CD4046 simulation?
I've tried to get a working simulation for the CD4046 but can not seem to get it to work correctly. If I leave the 'Advanced Properties' of the CD4046 at default, the simulation seems to run just fine, but the generated frequency is wrong. It is possible that my C and R1 values are wrong at this poi...

Move to feature question
OK, I'm sure it's just me, but I can't figure out how to use the 'move to...' feature for a circle drawn on the silkscreen layer. It seems that the 'point' that is moved to the coordinates I enter is based on where I click the circle. What I want to do is place the center of the circle at a certain ...

Re: How to create custom pad / package?
rberek & Richard_Reeves, thanks for the discussion. This is what I wanted to get started! rberek, Your suggestion is what I initially tried. But, it seems that the copper zones will have resist on them. This is what I'm trying to get around. I need the 0.75" x 1.0" pads to NOT have res...

Re: How to create custom pad / package?
All, as of right now, my original post was read 78 times with zero reply's.
I was really hoping that someone with considerably more knowledge than I would know how to do what I need.
Does anyone even know if what I want is possible? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Scott

How to create custom pad / package?
I have the need to create a custom package (or maybe I should call it a pad) for a PCB I'm laying out. The PCB will mount to some heat sinks via 1/4-20 bolts. At these mounting locations, I need a hole of 0.312" diameter and an exposed copper area of 0.750" x 1.000". The closest I can...

Re: 2512 footprint
I just installed version 7.5 and noticed that this is still not corrected? The IPC footprints seem to be OK, but the Labcenter surface mount 2512 pattern is still too 'wide'. This seems like an easy fix, will this make it into the next release so people don't get caught up short with an issue like t...

Re: Perf boards? Prototype boards?
Dennis, That is similar to what I was looking for, but I don't quite need the CAD part of it. I'm really just looking for a cheaper solution for prototype boards instead of purchasing the boards from Digikey, etc. I went ahead an laid out a very basic board that could be used with standard DIL IC's ...

Perf boards? Prototype boards?
I am a new user to Proteus, but so far am very pleased with the software. I was curious if anyone has ever used the Ares package to design boards that could be used for prototyping work. The common name for them in the US is perf boards, not sure if that holds true in other parts of the world. I fig...
