BOM of single sheet in design?

Is it possible to generate a BOM (on screen is fine) from just a single sheet of a multi-sheet design? I'm just trying to save the time of having to manually go through the BOM to find the parts that pertain to a certain sheet of the design.

I'm using V8SP2 if it matters.

Thanks,

Scott

Hidden pin assignments

My apologies if this has been covered in the past, I did not find it searching. Why is it if I place a single logic gate from a chip that would have multiple of the gates, assign the GND and VCC pin nets, the next placed gates do not 'remember' or pick up the setting I made for the first gate? It se...

Re: Library 'refresh' without having to close and reopen ISIS?

David,

Thanks for the reply. I just wanted to be sure that I needed to close and reopen the program. Thanks for adding this to the features to be added, hopefully this is something that can be added sooner rather than later.

Re: Library 'refresh' without having to close and reopen ISIS?

Arthur, That is not quite the same. When I first open the first instance of ISIS, part xyz doesn't exist in the library. After part xyz is created in the second instance of ISIS, I would like to reload or refresh the libraries in the first instance of ISIS without having to shut it down. After the r...

Library 'refresh' without having to close and reopen ISIS?

Maybe this can be done already and I don't know about it. When I'm working on a new design (or updating an old design) I commonly have the design open in one instance of ISIS, and have a second instance of ISIS open for creating of new devices. I'll also have an instance of ARES open for creating pa...

Re: Odd results using SPICE simulation of 3 phase transformer

Ettore, I have added PREFLUX=0 to the primary inductors of my transformer. If I uncheck 'Initial DC condition' for an analog graph, the SPICE simulation appears to run. The progress bar in the lower left counts from 0% to 100%. Some of the analog graphs I have will show data after the simulation, bu...

Re: Odd results using SPICE simulation of 3 phase transformer

Ettore, Again, many thanks for the help. Unchecking the 'Initial DC solution' option solved the problem. Learning how to use a tool while under pressure to complete a design is not fun. I've ordered some books on SPICE, but finding the time to read them will be the next challenge. Also, clearing the...

Re: Odd results using SPICE simulation of 3 phase transformer

OK, since there is a limit of 3 attachments I thought I would attach the circuit as a reply to my first post. But since I tried to reply so quickly I got a message saying 'You cannot make another post so soon after your last'. Ugh. Then, I waited a few minutes and tried the reply again. Now it says ...

Odd results using SPICE simulation of 3 phase transformer

OK, I've posted a couple of questions regarding this design I'm working on. Now my next. Attached is the SPICE simulation of my transformer. I am using the V3PHASE to generate the 3 phase primary side voltages for the transformer. Using an analog graph, the input looks like this: line voltages.JPG B...

Re: SPICE simulation failure

Ettore, Thanks for that. I did not realize you could have different SPICE settings for each graph. I thought SPICE settings were global to a design. Now I know they are not. Regarding the coupling value, yes I realize that value was not realistic, it was just a starting point. My transformer is a hu...

Re: SPICE simulation failure

Just to keep this updated: I have added 'IC=0' to each of the capacitors (positive side) and the error message is now: '[SPICE] TRAN: Timestamp too small; timestep = 0: trouble with node SEC_2C_+18VAC_SHIFTED.'

Any ideas?

SPICE simulation failure

I have a circuit that I am trying to simulate. The circuit is a model of a transformer I use (see attached design). If I run the simulation labeled 'Transformer' the simulation runs fine. If I try to run the simulation labeled 'Filter', the simulation fails and the error message is: '[SPICE] TRAN: T...

Re: SPICE transformer model question

Ettore, I have built a 3 phase transformer using the suggested method you used in your example and have found that the SPICE engine automatically seems to account for the required phase shift between secondaries. But, I do have one question: My inductor symbol from the libraries does not have the ph...

Re: SPICE transformer model question

Ettore, Thanks for the quick reply. I'm not concerned about phase shift from primary to secondary. I'm only concerned about the phase shift (or difference) between the two secondaries. There IS a phase difference between my two secondaries, I've confirmed it with an o'scope. My company does not spec...

SPICE transformer model question

I am currently trying to implement a SPICE model (for use in ISIS) of a transformer I use in my designs. The transformer has a delta wired primary, and two secondaries. The first secondary is delta wired, and the second secondary is wired as a wye. I know from measurements taken on the transformer t...
