Before moving on to colour LCD displays perhaps you should sort out the existing alpha numeric ones, see my post http://support.labcenter.co.uk/forums/v ... f=9&t=3555. Does not inspire confidence in a product when such flaws are just ignored.

Yes I've checked the processor speed and the speed of the lcd and both are ok.The lcd seems to init ok as the screen clears and the control lines are active.It seems to be when the controler switches from 8 to 4 bit after init.I'm not sure I it is actually switching over and is staying ing 8 bit mod...

What I have done is this.I have breadboarded a copy of the demo file in Isis, loaded it with a known working hex file and tried it as ok.Then I have loaded the same hex file into Isis and ran the 4bit lcd demo.It does not work.As the demo version does not allow you to alter the sample this was the o...
