Re: Edge plating
You can set the power plane zone to be locked to board edge, but then uncheck the option to exclude board edge. Partial resist opening would need resist graphics along the edge.

Re: Adding a new trace to a graph without re-simulating
That is a good idea and something similar is under consideration for Proteus 9.

Re: Inclusion of "Not Fitted" components on variant BOMs
You can get quite close to that with a BOM Project Note containing a Variant Comparison project data. To do this create a new Project Note in the Project Notes module with a type of "Bill Of Materials Note". Then insert a Project Data object of type Variant Comparison. Now when you export ...

Re: Panelisation.....
That is not currently supported, requiring pick and place to be done on the individual boards after they have been broken out from the panel.

Re: Strange issue, help needed....
Exporting as project clips is a better way to try and do this, assuming you want it to be all on a single layout. This will require each component project to have a single schematic page.

Re: Export Registry settings
That's a good idea and I have added it to our issue tracker. The per user settings are stored in the Windows Registry but I can't recommend using Registry Editor to export and import "Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Labcenter Electronics\Proteus 8 Professional" due to the dangers of ma...

Re: How to Re-number placed components
Can you elaborate on which components did not re-annotate with Total mode selected? It may be that the new annotation was the same as the old, but you can change the initial count, or better change the sheet Annotator Init property for each sheet first. In terms of specifying the annotation ordering...

Re: Automatic Floor Plan
Hi Well you certainly don't need to assign floor planning groups to components one at a time. You could tag/select components to set the planning group value and either use the Property assignment tool with {GROUP=GroupName} applying to globally tagged, or in Design Explorer search by Tagged, then s...

Noted. Quick workaround is to select another category in the category filter before moving back to (All Categories).

Re: Net class - net type conflict
For power nets it's best to use Design -> Configure Power Rails. As to your question, yes you do need the CLASS=ClassName syntax. For example, if you bring up the Place Wire Label dialog, then go to the Net Class tab and select a class, if you look back at the Label tab you will see the label has be...

Re: Polarity mark and 0201 topo in assembly plot
Technology menu -> Text Style -> set the Graphics Line Width to 1 or 2 th. This will reduce the occupancy box line width in the assembly plot.
Then I recommend you export it as a vector format so that you can zoom in to the area of concern, PDF is best.

Re: BGA orientation missing in Assembly Plot
Currently the orientation mark is simply a detection of the first pin, but this is not detected for BGAs with grid based numbering. You could either place manual marks on mech 2 for the BGAs or have the first pin numbered as simply "1". Manually adding a mark on mech 2 can be placed back i...

Re: Lost PCB layout
Is your project a multi-board design? Do you have a backup file that may contain an older version of the layout? It is not possible to recreate the layout from the Gerber output.
